And the beat goes on

Second movie: Because I Said So. At times it was scarily reminiscent of my life -- I am the only single daughter left. Happily, I don't live in the same town as my mother, and my sisters live in different towns with their families as well. We love each other, but I am really sure we could never survive living together. All told, I give that movie a definite thumbs up. Cliche or no, it made me laugh and it made me cry, and I really think it deserves a place in my collection. Time to add it to my wishlist. Yep, I'm still trying to stick to that budget (hence the dollar movie rentals).

Now we're on the third one - Failure to Launch. As far as movie genres go, I do believe I watched these in the wrong order. Hint for hardcore movie buffs (well, happy fuzzy ones anyway): start off with the stupid comedies or horror/suspense flicks. If it scares you, disgusts you, or disturbs you, it should definitely be first in the lineup. If you're only watching two, this is the time for the romantic comedy. Action flicks fit in well also. If you're watching three, however, the romantic comedies and the feel-good flicks should always wait until the end. Truth be told, FTL is a good romantic comedy, but it should have been second to watch. It's just a little too silly, where BISS is a bit heavier and would have been a nice closer.

Eh, it's still a great movie.

Do you have a public library nearby? If so, you can probably borrow movies/DVDs for free.
