Young urban Americans get enthused over knitting
Nope, this is not my knitting group, or even a group I know, but it is still pretty darn cool!
As far as First Thursday goes, we had a fabulous time knitting and talking. I picked up 3 balls of Classic Elite Beatrice for socks, and 4 balls of Rowan Lurex Shimmer (in a beautiful burgundy) for weaving a shawl. I finished the DB sweater seaming last night (yay!) and discovered that my first yoke piece for Tilt may be too small in comparison to the lower body portions. Gauge appears to be correct, but I have to really pull it to get the 14" width the pattern calls for. 5 weeks to go!
