Monday, Monday...

Gotta love a Monday morning where you don't actually have to be at work. Mom's in town and we're going to do some sightseeing that she hasn't gotten around to in 30+ years of living in Texas.

She's driving and I'll be knitting maniacally on my birthday cake shawl -- it's at about 12 inches now, so I need at least 2 more to make what the pattern calls for. I think I knit around 2 inches yesterday, so there is still hope for me to finish this before we go out to dinner tomorrow night. That's the goal anyway.
