It's frickin' freezin' up here, Austin
Okay, maybe not freezing. It is only (ONLY!) down to 36 degrees here in Austin. I'm wrapped up in a warm blanket with my super fuzzy slippers on with a warm notebook on my lap, and COLD. I can't even knit because my hands are cold (not to mention the project I should be working on is down in my car trunk - well, BOTH of the projects I should be working on). Perhaps this year is the year I invest in an electric blankie. Or perhaps I should get up and check that the furnace pilot is still lit.

You can always come up here - we've had 24" on snow this week, possibly more coming, and tonight the temp will be -4, with GOK what windchill factor! These are times when it pays to be a knitter with several year's worth of wool accessories like caps, mittens, wristers, socks, sweaters, scarves, shawls and wraps!
Target had some pretty nice soft electric blankets when we went over there the other day, I got a twin size for maybe $40, but it feels GOOD and has a ton of heat settings and even turns itself off after 10 hours, just in case. Much love.
