Trying to keep up
Been a little hectic with life around here lately... but that happens, I suppose.
Interestingly enough (and something that I predicted), Travis County voted down Prop 2, but the rest of the state of Texas voted for it by a large margin. I had to think hard on this one (for those non-Texans out there, Proposition 2 was the one defining marriage as being between one man and one woman) - but after a lot of consideration I made a decision. On the other hand, that ballot item alone was enough to get a lot of people out to the polls who wouldn't normally vote -- and me as well; I like to vote and feel it is my civic duty, but I usually forget about it until it is too late.
