Naps are good
...but overly long naps can wipe you out.
So, lately I have actually been knitting and crocheting, but my crafting time usually gets limited to a little time on Saturday and Monday. That is a good and a bad thing -- a good thing because it means I am getting a few other things done, but a bad thing because this afghan I am working on just doesn't knit itself.
Of course that means I am also procrastinating by starting other things. I crocheted a few wire and bead bracelets for the class I will be teaching in September. Suzanne of HCW also introduced me to a fabulous new yarn by Berroco called Comfort -- yes, it is an acrylic yarn (50% acrylic, 50% nylon), but it is amazing! The hand is super soft and the colors are stunning. Can I add a few more superlatives? To compare, it is softer to me than Lion Brand Microspun, and although it also is made up of multiple strands, I have not had the problem of horrible splitting with the Comfort that I have with the Microspun. No pictures yet, and I have yet to add it to my Ravelry queue (I am cyndilou out there!) but I will...eventually.
Now back to the chores I put off to take a nap.
