A is for Acquisition
It is also for "adding to the yarn stash" and "ack, I have too much yarn".
These are the yarns I got from various after-Christmas and inventory sales. It does not include some yarn purchased in that timeframe not on sale (two skeins of Malabrigo laceweight), nor does it include the yarns I got for Christmas (some Noro sock yarn and some handspun). What it does include is a determination of mine to knit myself at least one sweater this year. I've made myself a couple things in 2007, but it has been well over a year since I've completed a sweater for me.
Without further ado, clockwise from the top: 14 skeins of Reynolds Rapture in burgundy, 9 of Elsebeth Lavold Silky Wool in rich red, 3 hanks of Colinette Jitterbug, one ball of Lang Aktion, one skein of a Chamelon sockweight, and 12 balls of Merino Big.
...and for as long as possible this year, no more yarn purchases! (Granted, commissioned work is excluded, but I'm pretty sure I can work most things from my stash.)
