Nothing can save you now...

I was amazingly disappointed when the LCD on my brand new camera started malfunctioning. This week I got the replacement from the vendor and this evening was the first time I had the chance to get it out of the box (gotta send the old one back pronto!). Of course, except for the very first time I powered on the bad camera, the LCD on it functioned just fine. It has to be a short in there somewhere - no matter what I tried before I couldn't get the ghosting problem to go away, and then when I was in the process of switching the lens and such to the new camera and just powered on the bad one one last time to take a picture of the new kit: poof, the bad LCD decided to stop acting up. Too late, it is packed to ship in the morning. Here's hoping the new camera doesn't have any issues.
